Brow Lift
Conveniently located to serve Midland and Odessa, TX
A brow lift, also known as a forehead lift, can address wrinkles, fine lines, deep furrows, or drooping skin along the upper part of the face. These common signs of age and stress can impact the aesthetics of the entire face and make individuals appear older, more tired, or even angrier than they actually are. With a brow lift, Midland plastic surgeon Kevin Cook, MD can give you a smoother and more youthful complexion while achieving results that look exceptionally natural.
If you are seeking to reverse signs of aging or exhaustion, a brow lift can provide a more refreshed and energized appearance. Some of our patients at Midland Plastic Surgery Center even choose to combine a brow lift with cosmetic injectables to maximize their results.

Benefits of a Brow Lift
Most of our brow lift patients are in their 40s or 50s; however, patients in their 20s and 30s may also benefit from this surgery. A brow lift offers benefits including:
- Smoother skin above and between the brows
- Reduction of creases on the forehead
- Reduced appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
- A more energized, youthful appearance
- A more approachable appearance without that constant look of grumpiness or fatigue
- Eyes that appear more alert and brighter than before
Dr. Cook will customize brow lift surgery to address your unique cosmetic concerns. A brow lift is commonly performed on both men and women, and Dr. Cook’s experience with facial aesthetics can provide you with beautiful, natural-looking results.
Ideal Candidates
The ideal candidates for a brow lift are in good health and are looking for a solution to reduce the appearance of deep forehead lines and sagging eyebrows. Candidates are typically older than age 40; some candidates may be younger than 40 but are already dealing with signs of premature aging near the brows.
Good brow lift candidates must also have realistic expectations for the procedure. It helps if you do not smoke, because smoking may impede the healing process during recovery. Smoking can also cause complications during surgery. Because of this, it is best to quit well in advance of the procedure.
The procedure is designed to raise the hairline based on how high the brow was elevated. If an individual already has a very high hairline, an anterior brow lift might be a more suitable option.
Brow Lift Consultation
To learn how Dr. Cook can utilize brow lift surgery to rejuvenate your appearance, please schedule a consultation today. To determine if you are an ideal candidate for brow lift surgery, Dr. Cook will analyze your medical history and perform a thorough physical exam during your initial consultation.
These one-on-one conversations give Dr. Cook time to carefully listen to your surgical goals and design a customized treatment plan with your needs and expectations in mind. Dr. Cook will also spend time during your consultation presenting you with all of your facial rejuvenation options, enabling you to make educated choices about your body and your health.
Brow Lift Procedure
Brow lift surgery typically utilizes an incision just above the hairline to minimize any visual scarring. During the procedure, excess skin is removed, underlying facial muscles are tightened, and the remaining skin is lifted to achieve a smoother, firmer look. In most cases, a brow lift is performed as an outpatient surgery, requires a local anesthetic and a mild sedative, and takes about one to two hours to complete.
Recovery and Results
Immediately following your brow lift, you will likely experience some mild bruising and swelling. In the first few days following your procedure, Dr. Cook recommends patients keep their head elevated to reduce swelling and aid in the healing process. Some patients may experience temporary numbness after their procedure.
Brow lift patients usually return to work or their daily activities within seven to ten days. Dr. Cook recommends avoiding any strenuous activity for three or four weeks to help ensure optimal healing. The results of brow lift surgery can help you maintain a less stressed, more youthful appearance for years to come.
The initial results of the brow lift are visible right after the surgery. The full results can be seen after a few months.
Daily sun protection will reduce the chance of sun damage and help maintain your new rejuvenated look. A healthy diet and lifestyle can also prolong the effects of your brow lift.
How Much Does a Brow Lift Cost?
The price of a brow lift varies based on several factors. Anesthesia fees, the complexity of your unique procedure, and combining a brow lift with additional facial cosmetic surgeries will affect the overall cost.
