Forever Young BBL™ Therapy
Dr. Kevin Cook—our board-certified plastic surgeon in Midland—is dedicated to offering patients the most advanced and effective skin rejuvenation and laser resurfacing technology, which is why he has chosen to include Forever Young BBL™ among the selection of skin care procedures he performs at Midland Plastic Surgery Center. Forever Young BBL™ therapy is a BroadBand Light treatment designed to target key signs of skin aging to achieve healthier, more youthful looking skin. A minimally invasive procedure, the Forever Young BBL™ treatment stimulates the body’s own natural processes to transform the tone and texture of skin from the inside out.

How Does Forever Young BBL™ Work?
The light energy of the Forever Young BBL™ system is safely delivered into the skin where the energy is absorbed by the tissues. This warming process initiates natural responses within the skin that break down targeted aberrations, stimulate new skin growth, and prompt the production of new collagen fibers. With each Forever Young BBL™ treatment, Dr. Cook’s patients typically notice a marked improvement in overall skin tone and texture. Skin rejuvenation treatment plans with Forever Young BBL™ are customized for each patient based on their own unique needs and goals. Dr. Cook may recommend a series of treatment sessions to accomplish rejuvenation goals and/or maintenance sessions to sustain results over time.
Benefits of Forever Young BBL™
As the latest innovation in photorejuvenation with intense pulsed light (IPL), Forever Young BBL™ offers patients enhanced results and comfort compared to older IPL systems. Forever Young BBL™ is FDA-approved to simultaneously treat a wide array of skin conditions and imperfections that can contribute to the appearance of skin aging, including:
- Sun damage
- Fine lines
- Uneven tone
- Uneven skin texture
- Facial veins
- Broken capillaries
Smooth, clear, youthful-looking skin can be possible with Forever Young BBL™. If you are interested in learning more about how Forever Young BBL™ may be used to improve the appearance of your skin, contact Midland Plastic Surgery Center to schedule a consultation with Dr. Cook. During this appointment, Dr. Cook will examine your skin, determine if Forever Young BBL™ is right for you, and explain what kind of improvements you can expect to see from treatment.
The Forever Young BBL™ Procedure
Forever Young BBL™ is most often used to treat skin on the face, neck, chest, and hands, though treatment can be performed on almost any area of the body. Before treatment, Dr. Cook will prepare the skin with a topical anesthetic for optimal comfort during the procedure. Once the skin is desensitized, Dr. Cook will apply the laser, carefully targeting problem areas to achieve maximum rejuvenation. The time needed to complete the procedure will vary depending on the intensity of the treatment and the size of the treatment area.
Recovery and Results
After Forever Young BBL™, redness may develop and skin may feel warm, like a mild sunburn. Both of these conditions typically subside within a few days of treatment. Cool compresses may provide heat relief, and makeup can generally be used to conceal any temporary redness. Most individuals are able to resume normal daily activities immediately.
Results of this cosmetic treatment may take some time to become fully visible depending upon the nature of the imperfections being treated. Patients who undergo Forever Young BBL™ treatment will generally see initial results soon after healing and can expect to see the full results emerge over a few months following the procedure. Certain types of pigmented lesions may require more treatment sessions to achieve desired results.
